permutable.ai boosts ESG developments with the appointment of Monsur Hussain as Special Advisor

Permutable is delighted to announce the appointment of Monsur Hussain as Special Advisor on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) themes.

In the newly created part-time advisory role, Monsur will advise on permutable.ai’s approach to ESG themes, with a specific focus on helping to better understand social and climate-related attributes and insights. He will work with co-founders Wilson Chan and Alex Medvedev to develop tools that will help permutable.ai and its customers deliver a more sustainable and greener future.

Monsur has worked in financial services since 2001, and is currently Head of Financial Institutions Research at Fitch Ratings. He carries deep expertise in regulatory topics and thematic research, with an increasing focus on sustainability challenges.

permutable.ai has already developed a suite of ESG-related tools to help investment funds and asset managers to better understand the environmental, social and governance attributes of their asset portfolios, and automatically generate appropriate disclosures and reporting based on these insights. It is currently at an exploratory stage of working with a National Health Service hospital trust to use AI-based technologies to automatically detect abnormalities in patients’ scans.
